We are excited to announce our first ever litter of endangered snow leopard cubs! Two cubs, one male and one female, were born to Elsa and Nitro on May 24th, 2022, after a three month gestation. First time mother, Elsa, is two years old. First time father, Nitro, is three years old.
The cubs are currently off exhibit in their private den with mom while they are developing their initial motor skills and strength.
Tho I have to say, she’s the calmest Snow Leopard with cubs I have seen in videos/zoo documentations so far. Must be nice working with a calm girl like this.
