When Pavlova came up to a family’s house, they recognized her as a stray and began providing for her remotely. Although the adorable cat was extremely frightened and wouldn’t allow anyone to approach her too closely, they fell in love with her nonetheless and only wanted what was best for her.
According to a news statement from Tracy Deamer, an animal welfare inspector with the RSPCA, “a family had been feeding Pavlova for a few months and even fashioned her a wooden box shelter to sleep in when it grew chilly during Christmas.” They were worried for her welfare, and at the end of January, she entered our care.
When Pavlova arrived at the RSPCA’s Middlesex North West & South Hertfordshire branch, the first thing the staff there noticed was her incredible mustache. The black markings on her white face form such a perfectly shaped mustache, and it definitely makes it hard not to notice her.
“Pavlova is very striking and has the most beautiful black and white coat, with gorgeous markings and the most incredible mouse-tache and goat-ee,” Deamer said. “We hope her beautiful face will help her bag a wonderful fur-ever home!”
Pavlova is still pretty timid despite the attention her mustache attracts, so she will require a family that will be patient with her as she adjusts to her new life. Ideal situation for her would be a quiet, pet-free, adult-only household where she could take her time and acclimate to her new surroundings at her own pace.
She was really shy when she first came, and Deamer stated it’s taking her some time to get acclimated to us and the cattery. She is a wonderfully lovely cat, but she needs a particular home with owners who have experience caring for scared cats.
Because Pavlova and her mustache are so beautifully distinctive, her rescuers are hopeful that people will notice her and quickly locate her the ideal forever family.
